U.S. News & World Report Ranks Children's National Among Nation's Top Pediatric Hospitals


Children's National Medical Center is once again ranked among America's best pediatric institutions by U.S.News & World Report. Children's National ranks among the elite the top 30 of pediatric, specialty care providers in the country.

Children’s National has provided hope to sick children and their families throughout the region for more than 135 years.

“This ranking confirms that Children’s National is among the best pediatric health care providers in the country,” said Edwin K. Zechman, Jr., president and CEO of Children’s National.  “Furthermore, Children’s National is one of only eight pediatric institutions nationwide also named to the Leapfrog Group’s Top Hospitals for Quality and Safety.  It is an honor to again be recognized by U.S.News for our dedication to high quality care. Children’s provides premier pediatric health care services in key areas including neonatology, cancer, heart and heart surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, digestive disorders, respiratory disorders, and general pediatrics. Children’s National is also a member of the elite U.S. pediatric research institutions that marry cutting-edge research to high-quality care within the same facility. It is the sixth-highest in National Institutes of Health funding for children’s hospitals also specializing in pediatric research.
